Our Education Program encourages students to learn more about the
Presidency, the First Lady, American history and government, as well as the life and career of the President George W. Bush. In addition to information for parents, teachers, and educators, our staff strives to develop interesting, hands-on games, activities, and trivia; academic competition information; homework resources; and programs for kids in grades K-12.
With a background as a librarian and elementary school teacher in the inner-city schools of Dallas, Houston, and Austin, Mrs. Laura Bush became a key advocate of President Bush’s public education reforms stemming from the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, and introduced the “Ready to Read, Ready to Learn” initiative, which stimulated better methods of early childhood education.

Each spring, the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum accepts applications from high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors for its 3-day, fun, exciting, and educational summer camp, “Camp43: Leader of One, Leader of Many.”
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in charge? In the Situation Room Experience, you’ll take on the roles of critical White House players. You and your team will need to make serious decisions in the middle of fast moving events that determine the future of our nation. It won’t be easy, but it will be fun.
The 15-acre urban park features Native Blackland Prairie grasses, seasonal wildflowers among other native plants, clearings providing native habitats for butterflies, birds, and other species, tree-shaded lawns, and an amphitheater.

Available at the Museum's Admissions Desk, the Passport includes information about each of the Presidential Libraries and how you can collect passport stamps as you visit each facility.
