Thank you for your interest in visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. As the 13th Presidential Library administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), a Federal agency and the Nation's official record keeper, the Museum highlights critical events and issues from the Administration of President George W. Bush. The Museum is the repository for domestic and foreign Presidential gifts as well as other donated artifacts relating to the life and career of President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush.  

We strongly encourage visitors to purchase admission tickets to the Museum before making a visit.

Museum Hours 

  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday
  • 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday
  • Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

Admission

General admission is charged. By using the online ticketing website, visitors may pick the date and time that they would like to tour the Museum. 300 admission tickets per hour are available and we strongly encourage visitors to purchase tickets in advance.

In addition, 50 admission tickets per hour are available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis for visitors that walk-up to tour the Museum.

Visitors purchasing discounted tickets as active military, college student, or SMU (including faculty, staff, or student) must provide valid identification.

Your Museum Visit 

security

The Library and Museum is a Federal agency and weapons are not allowed in the building. All visitors entering the Library and Museum must pass through a security check with a metal detector. All bags will be x-rayed and possibly searched by security staff. Any weapons will be confiscated by security staff and not returned. This includes guns, knives, stun-guns, and any other items considered as less-than lethal weapons.

Directions and Parking 

Parking is available, on a first-come, first-served basis, in the Library and Museum's public lot.  Visitors will be charged $7 per vehicle, and payment will be by credit or debit card only upon exit from the lot. Please consider mass transit. When you arrive at the Library and Museum, please enter at the main entrance and go to the admissions desk. A clerk will help you get started with your visit.
